Details needed for a useful concrete takeoff

Plan lengths alone do not establish concrete volume. We need the applicable widths, depths, thicknesses, elevations and sections. Reinforcement requires the drawing details or schedules that establish bar sizes, spacing and applicable lap or anchorage requirements.

Deductions and assumptions stay visible

Openings, overlapping supports, thickened areas and alternative assemblies need a stated basis. Missing dimensions are requested. Estimating allowances are identified separately from drawing requirements rather than presented as confirmed measurements.

What you receive

The agreed package provides highlighted scope drawings, quantities organized by element and location, and inclusions, exclusions and unresolved items. Cost estimating is included only when your quote covers it. This service does not replace structural design or engineering approval.

Can reinforcement be included?

Yes, request it in the scope. The applicable bar details, sizes, spacing and schedules must be available and confirmed before the work is accepted.

Does this include structural design?

No. This is takeoff and estimating support from supplied documents. It does not replace a structural design or engineering approval.
